Image Editing
Here is a brief lesson about image sizing. Your image has to be a certain
size to fit on the page properly. If I set the size, your picture will probably
look distorted. It's easy to resize images once you know how.
Here is a link to a free editing program.. The page will
open in a new window. Download and install it, and then come back to this page.
The instructions here will work with most editors except for 'Paint'. That's
the one that comes with Windows. Although you can change the size, it's
difficult to know what size the image is. Using PC Image editor, the one that
this page links to, it's easy to resize the images.
- Open the program PC Image Editor (if you are using the one from the link
on this page).
- Open the file you want to resize.
- On the top of the program window it says: File Edit Image Adjust
Filter Help. Click on Image
- Click on: Image Size and a new window opens up. The first box you
can type in says Width.
- Type 640 in the box.
- Click on File.
- Click on Save as. Clicking on Save as will create a new
image and will not ruin your original image. Just name it something different
and remember where you put it.
- When you go to the Add Classifed page, click the browse button and
select the image you just edited.
- That's it!!
